The World IP Economy Development Conference and Global IP Licensing Expo took place in Guangzhou on May 10-11. Cao Jie, Senior Vice President and Co-founder of Yunzhou Global, attended the conference and joined a roundtable at the Annual IP Honors Ceremony and Thematic Forum to discuss new opportunities and challenges for the IP economy in the age of AI.

Attendees included Zeng Xiaofeng, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province; Ma Zuiliang, former department director at the National Development and Reform Commission and adviser to the Interministerial Liaison Office for National Strategic Emerging Industries; Yu Cike, Executive Vice Chairman of the China Copyright Association, Honorary Chairman of the Joint Conference of the National Copyright Trading Center, and former Director-General of the Copyright Management Bureau of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee; Dai Liumei, President of the China Culture and Entertainment Industry Association; Peter Varfi, Consul General of Hungary in Guangzhou; and representatives of leading companies including Sina Finance, China Literature, Guangzhou Cultural Industry Group, and Yunzhou Global.

During the conference, the 2025 Top Ten IPs of the Year were announced across ten popular fields, including intangible cultural heritage and museums, brand IP, technological innovation, urban culture, and digital humans. Selected IPs included Ne Zha 2, the DeepSeek app, the Sanxingdui Ruins, Pop Mart, Yunxi Qixi Culture, Guangzhou Chimelong, Li Ziqi, and robot marathons. Participants agreed that China possesses a profound cultural heritage and world-leading IP production capacity. As the country accelerates its development as a cultural powerhouse and AI technology becomes increasingly accessible, taking IP global is both an industry mission and an opportunity of the times. New ideas, technologies, and models are urgently needed to drive the next wave of international expansion and secure a competitive position as the global IP market evolves.

Cao Jie, Senior Vice President and Co-founder of Yunzhou Global, noted that games and short-form dramas are two of China's most influential content industries and the leading forces in the current wave of global expansion. Short-form dramas in particular are becoming a cultural phenomenon that originated in China and is now spreading worldwide. China has the world's strongest production capacity in both games and short-form dramas. While leading companies iterate rapidly to compete for users, tens of thousands of small and medium-sized businesses struggle in an intensely competitive market shaped by the Matthew effect. For the cultural sector, the choice is increasingly stark: go global or be left behind. AI is more than a cost-cutting tool; it can also become leverage for countering the Matthew effect and enabling smaller players to gain a place in the global cultural value chain. Yunzhou Global has independently developed Yun Ark, the industry's first multimodal AI intelligence engine. It studies multi-source, heterogeneous, dynamic, fragmented, and low-quality data from the digital entertainment industry. Through the co-evolution of knowledge graphs and large language models, it creates a trusted, explainable, and personalized intelligence-analysis and application platform, tackles the problem of model hallucinations, and provides end-to-end overseas publishing solutions for games, short-form dramas, and related content.

Yunzhou Global's mission is to create super IP for the world. The company has built a leading intelligent information-processing platform and a comprehensive publishing-enablement system, creating a co-publishing ecosystem with flexible models, low costs, controllable risks, and compelling returns. Its goal is to make global expansion possible at the click of a button and to promote cultural exchange and prosperity worldwide.
